0.6 must fix issues

Hi!

I've selected 10 issues that I consider a "must fix" for 0.6:

This list is preliminary and some not-so-important issues may be swapped 
with ones reported after the 0.5 release.

Please comment on the scope and speak up if you wish to tackle some 
specific issue from this list. :-) You may as well just change the 
ownership. :-)

My primary focus will be i#78 and relevant APIs development.
